Meet Dr. Bursian
Dr. Enrique Bursian was born in Newport News, Virginia but grew up in Merritt Island, Florida. Oldest of three siblings. He attended The University of Florida for his BS in Microbiology and Cell Science. He was awarded his DMD from The University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine where he got to live with his grandmother and spend time with his extended family. He speaks Spanish fluently and enjoyed the excellent clinical education he received at UPR. After becoming a dentist he did a 2 year General Practice Residency in Bronx, NY at Montefiore Medical Center working with a group of excellent mentors. He married his beautiful wife Dr. Justine Bursian while living in NY as she was doing her orthodontic residency at BronxCare. After practicing as a general dentist for a total of 6 years in New York, Dr. Bursian decided he wanted to focus on endodontics and become a specialist. Endodontics training brought him to The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN where he received his specialty certificate in Endodontics under Dr. Harry Cosby. While in Memphis, the Bursian family fell in love with the state of Tennessee. A trip to Nashville led to an unexpected stop in Columbia, TN and Dr. Bursian knew that is where he wanted to call home and to become a part of the amazing community and to raise his three children. It is an honor for him to serve the residents of Middle Tennessee.
